The construction of Girivan La Quinta, a residential project of the Garodia Group prioritizes safety and security of the residents. Its design is contextual to its location by orienting all apartments towards the north, taking into consideration the climate. The building is an earthquake-resistant RCC superstructure, and there is a dedicated owner’s lift for enhanced security, and LED way-finding and directional signage. It is designed by Sanjay Puri Architects.

Located in the suburb of Chembur, Mumbai, the 18-storey building offers majestic views of the Bombay Presidency Golf Course. While the lower floors have two apartments, each consisting of three bedrooms, the upper floors accommodate larger four-bedroom apartments, with a single apartment on each floor. To ensure optimal views from various directions, the rooms are strategically positioned on the north-facing front, as well as the diagonally oriented eastern and western sides. Conversely, the circulation core is located on the southern side. This thoughtful planning not only maximizes the captivating views but also prevents heat gain from the south, resulting in a comfortable and habitable microclimate.

The internal layout of the apartments is designed to minimize circulation spaces, allowing for a more expansive usable area within each unit. The living room of all the apartments opens to spacious balconies and remains bathed in natural light throughout the day. Their orientation also provides protection from the relentless monsoon rains in Mumbai, making them usable even in inclement weather.

La Quinta boasts a distinctive sculptural appearance with its curvilinear wrap details that not only accentuate the balconies but also provide privacy. The design incorporates measures such as the service core and absence of openings on the south, along with southern side sun breakers, to minimize heat gain. In fact, energy efficiency is prioritized in the design through several measures. The north-oriented apartments maximize natural light, reducing the reliance on excessive air conditioning. The eastern and western facades incorporate vertical fins in their wrap-around windows, effectively diminishing heat gain and glare from the southern side.

Each floor has a separate staff room and staff toilet, ensuring convenience and privacy for both residents and their domestic helpers. Amenities for the residents include a well-equipped gym, jacuzzi, and health spa, a banquet hall, dedicated indoor and outdoor play areas, a designated area for senior citizens tailored to their needs, 6 levels of parking with two car lifts, landscaped terrace gardens, outdoor yoga, observation, and Zumba decks.
