Besides the application of WPC sheets for heritage design preservations, architects can create unique formations from WPC boards because of the boards’ precision during CNC cutting.

WPC boards have outstanding properties that enable their application outdoors and in all weather conditions. The image of a ‘Whale’ sculpture (as shown) was created by CEPT students of Ahmedabad, using co-extruded white sheets. No paint or surface protection was used. The structure has been present at the premises since the last 4 years, during which time it has been exposed to the rains, the cold winter months, and the scorching summer heat of Ahmedabad (which sometimes goes up to 50 degrees Celsius).

To add more life to sculptures placed in the open, it is possible to paint them for adding more life to them. Painting should not be done immediately (like in the case of wood), but after a few years.

Overall, WPC is a very useful, long-lasting, and versatile material for architectural creations. WPC enables faster, economical, aesthetic, and highly durable creations. While sculptures made for outdoor placements will prove to be highly durable, the sculptures designed for interiors, will last for ever!
