For instance, Quality Bond™ provides architects with the technology assurance and design expertise, to enable them to design with confidence. It gives the consultant the assurance of quality on the products he wishes to specify, and provides the builder with the assurance and confidence that the solution and expertise he is using is best in class.
Quality Bond™ assists design engineers with know-how about the right solutions available in the market to enable better decision-making, and helps glass processors and fabricators to upgrade their technical/ application expertise and project implementation skills to global standards.
Certified Quality Bond™ members are expected to employ best practices and ensure quality workmanship through high level support from Dow Corning in terms of training, audits and certification. A key objective of the program is that members will be able to differentiate themselves in the market through the use of the tools that Quality Bond™ will provide. In addition, Dow Corning will promote certified members in all specification efforts directed at influencers.
Dow Corning launched Quality Bond™ in India in June 2011, and already has six certified members - Alufit India Pvt. Ltd., Aluplex India Pvt. Ltd., FG Glass Industries Pvt. Ltd., Glasswall Systems India Pvt. Ltd., GSC Glass Ltd., and Sobha Developers Pvt Ltd (Glazing Division).
